Most field service software charges per seat — and different seats cost different amounts. An admin seat might be $299/mo while a tech seat is $149/mo, and features are locked behind the more expensive seat tiers. ServiceRig uses slots instead. Every slot costs the same and includes full access to every feature on the platform. Your business owner controls what each person can do through customizable role permissions — not by paying more.
Yes. ServiceRig has 4 default roles (Admin, Manager, Dispatcher, Technician) with sensible permissions out of the box. But the Admin can customize permissions for any individual team member at any time. Want your office manager to handle almost everything except billing? Want a senior tech to approve estimates? Just toggle the permissions. No upgrade required.
Each plan includes a set number of slots (Free Forever: 5, Business Essentials: 10, Max Leverage: 15). You can add more slots beyond your plan's included amount. On Free Forever, additional slots slightly increase your platform fee percentage. On paid plans, additional slots are a flat monthly fee ($140/slot on Business Essentials, $50/slot on Max Leverage).
No. Every slot costs the same regardless of role. An Admin slot and a Technician slot are the same price. The difference is what the business owner allows each person to do — not what they pay for.
